Terms and Conditions
- Cabot is not legally bound to offer a settlement amount on your balance. A settlement offer is a goodwill gesture offered to customers to help clear their account in a shorter time frame.
- A settlement offer is accepted on the basis the amount is paid in a lump sum of the offered amount, or between 1 to 3 instalments over a period of 3 months.
- If you're unable to make the payment(s) within a 3-month period at this time but would like to redeem this offer, call us on 0344 556 0263, we can discuss a flexible time frame, subject to your situation.
- A settlement offer is valid for a short period of time.
- If you feel you're unable to make an instalment or lump sum payment that you've agreed to, you will need to contact us prior to your payment date to avoid losing your settlement offer.
- This settlement offer may not be available online again if you break your settlement agreement with a missed or late payment. Again, please let us know if you're unable to make a payment before your payment date.
- Your online settlement plan will need to be set up via Direct Debit or debit card. If you opt to pay via Direct Debit you will have the option to set up your payments monthly, four weekly or fortnightly. By choosing debt card, you can choose to make your payments weekly, fortnightly, four weekly or monthly on any chosen date of the month, your first payment will be taken today.
- If your account is showing on your credit file, and you accept a discounted settlement offer, when the settlement offer has been repaid, your credit entry will be updated to 'partially settled' with a 'nil' balance. This can take up to 6 weeks to show. If you're due a rebate or refund, please get in touch with us and we will discuss how this works for your settlement offer and affects your credit file.

Online offers are non-negotiable and subject to various factors that are determined by Cabot.
