This year, Cabot Financial and all of its staff helped raise £85,548, the largest amount ever raised for Cabot's chosen charity and making us the second largest donor this year. Throughout 2018, staff hosted bake-offs, participated in the a bubble rush, donated their time at Demelza's warehouse as well as hosting multiple raffles and sweet sales.

At the summer Demelza barbecue at the Sittingbourne Hospice, Cabot staff funded and volunteered the event, whilst supporting the families. A team wanted to raise money by pushing their bodies and minds to the limits - taking part in the National Three Peaks Challenge walking 23 miles and ascending over 10,000ft raising £33,000. The three mountains the team climbed are Snowdon in Wales, Scafell Pike in England and Ben Nevis in Scotland.

The total raised over the year equated to 1,533 hours, nearly 64 days, of care for children and their families. If you want to support Demelza, you can get involved with fundraisers or donate here.

Cabot choose a charitable cause to support each year, however, this year felt different. It all started with a landslide vote in favour of Demelza and has since continued with real energy across the whole company. We wanted to support the children’s hospice in as many ways as possible to make as much difference as we can to the fantastic work that Demelza do.
